I know, panties are taboo, and we’re not supposed to talk about them in public. But, really? We all wear underpants (well…ok, a large majority of people wear underpants), and we all know that everyone wears them, so why can’t we talk about them? I don’t know either! So I’m just going to go ahead and chat about knickers for a bit. Please close this now if you’re offended by underpants (and then go sit in the corner and think about your silly behavior).
When I first heard of Knix Wear, I’ll admit, I immediately wondered why anyone would pay $30+ for a pair of underwear. I tend to be a bit…I believe the euphemistic term is “thrifty”. After reading a bit more about what made Knix Wear stand out from the crowd, I was intrigued, but still not completely convinced to spend upwards of $30 for panties. So, when I had the opportunity to apply to be a Knix Wear Ambassador (Knixpert), I jumped at the chance. I’ll admit, I was initially mostly in it for the free underwear trial.
First, in case you haven’t heard of Knix Wear, let’s cover what Knix Wear is. Since I feel that they cover it pretty well, I’ve copied the following Mission Statement from their website, www.knixwear.com:
They also have a pretty great graphic that describes their Fresh Fix Technology:
In my starter kit, I received the Knix Bikini Brief, Knixy Boyshort, and FitKnix Thong (I know, exercise apparel and butt floss sounds like a really odd combination, but I figured it would be the ultimate test).
The first pair I tried was the Knix Bikini Brief. I love the combination of a moderate cut and fabric with a barely there feel. There were definitely times when I could have believed I wasn’t even wearing panties!
Next, I decided to be a bit sassy and try the lacy Knixy Boyshort (hey, I’m a SAHM, sassy is in the…um…pants of the wearer!). Although it’s lacy, the fabric is so incredibly comfortable that I wouldn’t hesitate to wear them everyday. These panties are incredible. They manage to be both practical and fun at the same time, and that’s perfect when I want to feel a bit fun and pretty in my t-shirt, yoga pants and ponytail but still be comfortable chasing a three year old and playing on the floor with a baby. The only downside to this cut was that I found, even with going down a size, they tend to roll a bit at the top. I thought that would be a huge detractor, but it really isn’t. The underwear is so comfortable that I quickly forget the rolled top, and it doesn’t seem to show through clothing.
I’m not normally a big fan of the thong, but I reallly wanted to get the full picture of this new brand of miracle underwear, so I tried out the FitKnix and was pleasantly surprised. I could actually wear these while working out and not be in pain! The fabric is soft and stretchy, and the crotch piece is just wide enough that it doesn’t feel as if it’s going to slice you in half.
After trying the pairs in my starter kit, I used the amazing Buy One Get One 1/2 Off code I got from joining Club Knixy to purchase a Knixy Thong and a pair of Knix High Rise Briefs. I’ve not tried the Knixy Thong yet but, oh my goodness! The High Rise Brief is my new favorite! It’s so incredibly comfortable and has the same barely there feel as the Knix Bikini. I was a bit afraid that they’d be “granny panties”, but they fit much more stylishly. I honestly don’t have a single negative thing to say about the High Rise Briefs, and I get excited on laundry day when they’re clean and I can wear them again! (Ok…since I have a baby and a preschooler, pretty much every day is laundry day, but you know what I mean.)
The verdict? Buy! And when I say it’s worth it to spend $30 for a pair of panties, you know it really is! They have excellent promotions and coupons available, like the BOGO 1/2 Off through Club Knixy, and if you use code KNIXPERT08 on your order, you can save 10%!
